Joeseph and Kaori are such a cute couple. They did an awesome photoshoot in traditional kimonos and the time and effort put in to achieve the outfit is so impressive thanks to Toshi at Toshi Studios in Richmond! Afterwards we made a trip to Hotel Mac located in downtown Point Richmond which was the location of the wedding reception. We got to shoot in the restaurant/hotel all by ourselves which gave us a great opportunity to get some great photos!
Rainy but still a fun and great wedding
The weather can be unpredictable for weddings but when it rains, you also get the opportunity to get an amazing umbrella in the rain shot that I am very happy with! The rain definitely did not spoil the fun for this lovely couple because the wedding was still a blast! You can tell that the beautiful bride and groom had a lot of fun on the wedding day as they celebrated the special day with some amazing family and friends.
It was great to be a part of Derrick and Mariana’s wedding day as I have known Derrick for a long time. I also have to say that Mariana had a great maid of honor/sister that really helped make it a happy day. They also kept the reception at Zen Peninsula entertaining and lively with games throughout the night and Rocko’s ice cream tacos courtesy of Wendy, the sister/maid of honor!

Golden State Warriors Oracle Arena Engagement Photosession
Derrick and Mariana went on their first date at a Warriors game. Derrick also proposed to Mariana at a Warriors game and yes, they were on the Jumbotron! What better place to do an engagement photo session than at the Oracle Arena where the Golden State Warriors play!
This has got to be one of my favorite engagement sessions of all time. As season pass holders and long time Warriors fans, we had the opportunity to take photos in an empty Oracle arena. It was such an amazing experience to be able to walk around the basketball stadium on a private tour. I even got the chance to make a 3 pointer where Stephen Curry makes at least one in every single game!
