Everyone describes weddings as a fun filled day but this wedding held at Palmdale Estates in Fremont truly was a fun filled wedding! The beautiful grass area was filled with games for all the guests to enjoy and included a Ping Pong table, Badminton, Horseshoes, Bocce, Cornhole bean bag toss, a giant Jenga, and a giant Connect 4. In addition to all of that, they also had a photobooth and the reception was catered by food trucks! Megan and Matt did a great job planning the wedding considering they are both located in Boston. I really enjoyed photographing this wedding and I have no doubt that all the guest had a great time.
I love the Berkeley Brazilian Room as a wedding reception venue. It’s not too far away nestled in Tilden Park in Berkeley making it somewhat easy to get to. Best of all, there are great spots in the trees and garden area for portraits. As the morning fog cleared up, the sunny blue skies opened up just in time for the ceremony.
It makes my job much more enjoyable when I can see that the bride and groom are easy going and relaxed and can truly enjoy the special day. This was obvious from the start as the bride and groom started getting ready in the same hotel room! It’s also great to see when the guests are having a blast during the dancing as well as during… wait for it… flipcup, yes flipcup. This was the first wedding that I have photographed where flipcup was played and it was awesome.
Here are some detail shots of the ceremony and reception areas of Hotel Sofitel in Redwood Shores. This is a great location to have a wedding at as it has a great location in the peninsula and is super convenient. The outdoor area for a ceremony was beautiful. There were also plenty of spots inside and outside for photos. There are also good banquet hall options whether you want to have a big or intimate wedding reception.
